It was our pleasure to host the second annual Dominion Leasing Software User Conference “Future In Sight”, held May 6 through 8, 2012, at the Founders Inn and Spa in beautiful Virginia Beach, Virginia!
The 2012 User Conference provided a great experience for the conference attendees and the Dominion Leasing Software staff. The various breakout sessions and free periods provided a perfect opportunity for attendees to network and share valuable experiences. The many breakout sessions covered a variety of topics and gave attendees the chance to learn about existing and new system features in both overview and training-style classroom settings. There was plenty of time for fun as well, including a Sunday evening reception and our now “famous” Monday evening dinner and party. During this year’s conference we hosted a “casino night” that featured a number of casino-style games as well as a DJ who not only played some awesome music but also involved each attendee in the entertainment!
The focus of this year’s User Conference was “Future In Sight” and began with an overview of the upcoming LeaseComplete Version 5 system release. During the conference attendees were able to see a full demonstration of LeaseComplete Version 5 as well as experience an upgrade from Version 4 to Version 5, which was accomplished in a matter of minutes using tools Dominion developed for that purpose. A timeline for completion of Version 5 was presented to the users and BETA testing was discussed – a number of our clients have volunteered to perform BETA testing which will play a pivotal role in the successful launch of this new system release.
In addition to Version 5, there were many breakout sessions which focused on educational topics requested by our customers. Those included classes on Screen Painting, Time Saving Essentials, and others. We also included accounting sessions including a detailed overview of book and tax depreciation. A guest speaker from OSG talked to attendees about sales and property tax compliance, and provided a list of twelve (12) items they can do now to streamline their processes, reduce tax liability, and ensure compliance.
